I've been following your progress. Great work! I hope it fires up without too much headache.
I also love the 92X

a Ej22t from a legacy ? you upgraded the internals too ?
i wanted one of those, and often wonder how hard would it be (mine got a ej207 in it)

If there isn't a headache involved chances are I'm doing it wrong (To be honest I prefer a challenge too.) Thanks though.

ej22e from an Impreza. Completely stock internals. That's what makes it interesting. It's pretty easy, no different then head gaskets except you have to tap a hole in the starter (the ej22t should be externally the same as a ej22e). I went cheap on this build as I would like to get a bug eye and do a full sti swap next year.

With an 18g at 22ish psi and e85. It'll either go pop or be very interesting. I only got it for $85 so no loss there.

i dont know if i would want to push more than 10psi lol

Compression is a bit higher then a ej205, same nonforged internals. The ej22e has a forged crank. I'll be either running e85 of meth to help. If it goes oh well, but playing with the limits is the fun thing.

Do you have a build thread somewhere?

I'm far to lazy to write one up. I need to redo the crankshaft sprocket as I used the wrong one (I used the ej22). I had a recent surgery that doesn't allow me the ability to be able to do that for a while though.

I understand. Great project and speedy recovery.
